About The Course:
This course gets you started on the basic principles of color theory with fun stimulating projects that you paint. No tedious color charts here! I want students to learn by doing and painting! The content of this class includes rich visuals and resources as well as a solid foundation to color theory covering the following topics:
CLASS 1 – VALUE
CLASS 2 – INTENSITY
CLASS 3 – COLOR TEMPERATURE
CLASS 4 – ANALOGOUS COLORS
CLASS 5 – LOW KEY & HIGH KEY PALETTE
As I demonstrate the color Projects, I also talk about my approaches to painting and various techniques that I use in my own work. I encourage everyone to focus on subject matter that interests them: Abstract, Still Life, Landscape Figurative, etc, are ALL welcome! This class is for painters who have some experience using their materials. My focus is on oil and acrylic paint, but all mediums are welcome.
FORMAT
This eCourse is made up of five classes. Classes have slide-shows, video demonstrations, inspirational photos and links, and engaging Projects (assignments) that can be created in different and multiple ways depending on your skill level. All content is available on one page on the first day of the eCourse for you to study at your own pace and in your own time zone.
